According to Variety, the founder of the #MeToo movement, Tarana Burke, will appear in Lifetime's re-launch of their campaign geared towards survivors of sexual assault. The Stop Violence Against Women campaign also spotlights celebrity actors such as Alyssa Milano, and real people who've survived sexual assault.
The campaign will air for the entirety of October, as well as provide resources to survivors and future programming on the Network. Along with Me Too and Rise, Lifetime is partnering with Girls for Gender Equity, Color of Change, Black Women’s Blueprint, RAINN, It’s On Us, National Domestic Violence Hotline, National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, Biden Foundation and The Joyful Heart Foundation
