Taraji P. Henson Leads New Role in Battling KKK

Tarji P. Henson is coming back on the screen showing the world yet again how much Black women have contributed to American history!

Two powerful forces that come together for the same objective: a white-hood-wearing former KKK leader and one woman's will to make change. Taking place in Durham, NC in the 70's, the movie follows the true story of Ann Atwater (Tarji P. Henson) a civil rights activist and C.P. Ellis (Sam Rockwell) efforts to manage the challenge of segregation in Durham's public schools. An unlikely duo, the pair discovers how similar their values are and how difficult it is to balance executing a goal for the greater good and meeting the expectations of your community.

The film is directed by The Hunger Games director Robin Bissell and is scheduled to release on April 5, 2019.
