Moonlight Director, Barry Jenkins Brings The Culture A New Film, If Beale Street Could Talk

If Beale Street Could Talk is Berry Jenkin's adaptation of James Baldwin's novel, which follows a woman in Harlem who is trying to prove her fiancé is innocent of a crime while pregnant with their first child. Basically its about the super strength of a Black woman y'all. Barry Jenkins gives us something to watch with the fam for the holidays. His follow-up to Moonlight, drops in theaters on Nov 30th. The film features brilliant black actors like our Auntie Regina Hall, Stephan James (who marched in the film Selma and ran in the film Race) and the star of the FX show Atlanta, Brian Tyree Henry better known as Paper Boy.
