The ultra hilarious, good skinned, Chewing Gum & Been So Long actress Michaela Coel is stepping up in a role that's different different. She stars in Black Earth Rising an eight part series that's set to drop January 25th.
Black Earth Rising is rooted in the story of Kate Ashby (Michaela Coel) a Britain raised legal investigator in her late 20s that was rescued from the Rwandan genocide and adopted by Eve Ashby (Harriet Water) a British top dog prosecutor in international law. Kate works in the law chambers of Michael Ennis (John Goodman). Michael and Kate are thrown into an experience that will forever change their lives, when Eve takes on a case at the International Criminal Court, prosecuting an African militia leader.
Sounds intense. I like it. Two good actors who are well known for their comedic style doing a drama gives it extra gravy. The trailer has been released check it out below.
