Okay ABC I see your rounding up some more Black content. That's the right move. A Black-ish episode about young Bow is supposed to be produced in March. This episode may present an opportunity for a spin-off to come out of Bow's story. Rainbow 'Bow' Johnson is played by the Tracee Ellis Ross, she is the wife of Dre Johnson played by Anthony Anderson.
If the show is in the works then it may have to be produced without Black-ish's creator/writer Kenya Barris. There is talk of him being involved in the spin-spin off as an executive producer however Barris will eventually be jumping to Netflix. According to Vulture.com the new show will follow Bow in her preteens during the 80's. There's some speculation that the show will be set in the 90's during Bow's teens.
The casting director has to have sharp eyes when selecting the right talent. Tracee Ellis Ross is a TV comedy queen, young Bow needs to have her same goofy spirit. I wouldn't mind watching a spin off about young Dre too only if Jennifer Lewis remains his mother.
